Gujarat to start employment-oriented training at pilgrimage centers: CM

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel expressed a will to start Employment-Oriented Training Centers with the co-operation from the Pilgrimage Trusts at the pilgrimage places of the state.

The Chief Minister expressed a confidence that as their social responsibility the Yatradham Trusts at big pilgrimage places would set up Employment-Oriented Training Centers to generate employments through art-cultural-skill in traditional industry.

The Chief Minister was speaking at the function organized to dedicate to the people of Gujarat the newly constructed The Jagannath Cultural Academic & Research Center on Gandhinagar-Adalaj highway by the centuries old famous Jagannath Temple of Ahmedabad.

The Centre set up by the Orissa people settled in Gujarat would act as a cultural bridge between Gujarat-Orissa, the Chief Minister said. The ultra modern training facilities at this centre would be helpful to the youths of Gujarat for availing employment oriented training, she further added.

The Chief Minister lauded the contributions made by the people, who have had come from every nook and corner of the country to Gujarat and settle down here, in ‘Growth Story’ of Gujarat. Among them, the people originating from Orrisa have made a lion-share contribution. On the occasion, the Chief Minister had also praised the contributions made in the Gujarat Administration by the officers of Orissa origin.

Smt. Patel had also urged to the pilgrimage and religious institutions to offer their co-operation in Gujarat Government’s Malnutrition Free Abhiyaan. On the occasion, she had offered ‘Shukhdi’ (sweet), which was given as nutritive food for the children of Anganwadi of Sabarkantha district by the Jagannath Cultural Academic, to the district collector of Sabarkantha.

Further the Chief Minister said, the credit for Gujarat’s growth at the global level totally goes to Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi as during his tenure as the Chief Minister he provided good governance to Gujarat for long span of over 12-years. Smt. Patel said, it is essential that the society offers its co-operation in making Gujarat as a model state in ‘Malnutrition Free State.’

Others, who spoke on the occasion, included Dr. R. Nagratna, founder member of Swami Vivekananda Yoga Institute (Bangalore), Mr. Harish Patnaik, trustee of the cetnre, and Dr. Sudeep Kumar Nanda, Chairman of the trust and Additional Chief Secretary (Home).

While, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. H K Das, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. G. C. Murmu, ex-additional Chief secretary Mr. Maheshwar Sahu, Secretary for cultural activities, Mr. Bhagyesh Jha, eminent personalities settled in Gujarat but originating from Orissa, special invitees and others had also attended the function.
