Narendra Modi arrives at Sardar Patel airport in his first visit to Gujarat after becoming PM(video)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today arrived at Sardar Patel international airport in Gujarat.

Shri Modi was welcomed by Governor, Chief Minister Mayor, Chief Secretary, Home Secretary Nanda, BJP president Amit Shah, protocol minister Pradipsinh Jadeja, state police chief Thakur among others at tarmac.

Shri Modi was later welcomed by ministers including Bhupendrasinh Chudasama and Ramanbhai Vora, Babu bokhiria, Saurabh Patel, Shankar Chaudhary and top cadre of state BJP including Om Mathur, RC Faldu, Parshottam Rupala, Surendra Patel, IK Jadeja, local MP Paresh Rawal. Some burocrates including K.Kailashnathan also were present at the airport to welcome the Prime Minister.

Shri Modi was welcomed with tribal dance and other cultural performances outside the airport.

Shri Modi later addressed party workers outside the airport. He said his Gujarat experience and training has been really helpful to him in Delhi. After a long time delivering his speech in Gujarati language, Shri Modi said that in public lice felicitation is a daily affair, but when it happens at native place, it just touches the heart. Shri modi said India is full of diversity and just seeing Delhi is not enough to understand it. Chinese president’s visit to Gujarat is very important therefore. Shri Modi said the air and earth of Gujarat with footprints of Sardar Patel and Mahatma Gandhi will give him new energy and inspiration during his stay in Gujarat before he returns to Delhi.

Shri Narendra Modi arrived in Gujarat today, for the first time since taking over as Prime Minister. He was warmly welcomed at the airport by the Party President Shri Amit Shah, State Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel, state officials and a large number of party workers.

Addressing party workers outside the GujSail hangar, the Prime Minister said a new atmosphere of trust has been generated in the Government through the first 100 days working of the new Government at the Centre. He said, in these 100 days, he has tried to understand the problems of the country, and to work honestly towards finding solutions to them. His 14 years’ experience as Gujarat Chief Minister has helped him a lot in this regard, he added.

Shri Narendra Modi said the support of the people gives him more strength, and the support of party workers gives him more energy to work. He said the coming days will see a new environment of good governance and development. The Prime Minister said new heights of development will be reached through Jan-Bhagidari – participation of the people in governance activities.

The Prime Minister said India is now being looked at differently by the world, and the country’s capabilities are being recognized. He said a new chapter will be written in the country’s economic progress. Referring to the Chinese President’s visit to Gujarat tomorrow, the Prime Minister said, this will mark a decisive moment not just for the India-China relationship, but also for the development of Gujarat.
Shri Narendra Modi urged the party workers to remain united and work together. The Chief Minister of Gujarat, Smt. Anandiben Patel, and the State BJP President Shri R.C. Faldu also addressed the gathering.
