The Boy & The Apple Tree
A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday. He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, took a nap under the shadow…he loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him. Time went by…the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree every day.
One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad. “Come and play with me” the tree asked the boy. “I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees any more” the boy replied.
“I want toys. I need money to buy them.” “Sorry, but I do not have money… but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money.” The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.
One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned and the tree was excited “Come and play with me” the tree said. “I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?” “ Sorry, but I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house.” So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.
One hot summer day, the man returned and the tree was delighted. “Come and play with me!” the tree said. “I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?” said the man. “Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy.” So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.
Finally, the man returned after many years. “Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you …” the tree said. “No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite” the man replied. “No more trunk for you to climb on” “I am too old for that now” the man said. “I really cannot give you anything… the only thing left is my dying roots” the tree said with tears. “I do not need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years” the man replied. “Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest, Come, come sit down with me and rest.” The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears…
This is a story of everyone.
The tree is like our parents
When we were young, we loved to play with our Mum and Dad…
When we grow up, we leave them…only come to them when we need something or when we are in trouble.
No matter what,
parents will always be there and
give everything they could
just to make you happy.
You may think the boy is cruel to the tree, but that is how all of us treat our parents.
We take them 4 granted we don’t appreciate all they do 4 us, UNTIL it’s 2 late.
Wallahi May Allah 4 give us of our shortcommings and may He Guide us,
Insha’allah w Ameen Ya rub.

I am fan of Ashwin Joshi and his programme on MA BAPNE BHOOLSHO NAHIN is inspiring all of us. When I tried to get a CD of his programme from the market, I got one, but apparently it is a pirated one as its sould and Ashwin Joshi’s lip movements are not matching. Again at the end of the VCD, there is utter chaos as the audio sound becomes truly funny. I first had the opportunity to watch this view CD when we the retired people of CSMCRI Bhavnagar had a picnic and in the bus this video was shown. I could see only part of it as we had to get down at one spot. But I took a decision to get this VCD and watch. Now the pirated VCD we are watching when we get time, but at a stretch. I love his appeal and I am happy as mentioned by Ashwin Joshi, the channels too have telecast his wonderful programme. Kudos to him and his co-singer. I feel his appeal is better than any other saints.
Its an touchnig story. A must read for children.
An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45 years old highly educated son.
Suddenly a crow perched on their window.
The Father asked his Son, “What is this?”
The Son replied “It is a crow”.
After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, “What is this?”
The Son said “Father, I have just now told you “It’s a crow”.
After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, What is this?”
At this time some ex-pression of irritation was felt in the Son’s tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff. “It’s a crow, a crow”
A little after, the Father again asked his Son the 4th time, “What is this?”
This time the Son shouted at his Father, “Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times ‘IT
IS A CROW’. Are you not able to understand this?”
A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening
a page, he asked his Son to read that page. When the son read it, the
following words were written in the diary :-
“Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and
I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time he asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I
did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child”.
While the little child asked him 23 times “What is this”, the Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when
today the Father asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed.
Lesson to learn from This Story:
If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble and kind to them. Be considerate to your parents.

I am going to talk about the video of ashwin joshi not because i know him. But only because today i realise that what MAA is? I am marraid. My wife is in India. I live in Australia since last 7 month. When i was in India, I didn’t give important to my PARANTS. But when i reached Australia, i was cried for almost 7 days, yes it truth.
But after that as time is going on i catched up with original scenario, & stop to cry. After that i was cried once in australia when i visited one of temple “HARE RAMA HARE KRISHNA” in Murvelamba, NSW.
& This is second time i am crying becuase of this video. This is the logest time i cried ever before. With the help of this video, i realised that i have to balance with all family member, not just with my MAA, also with BAAP, BHAI, BAHEN, BHABHI, & PATNI. Each & every member is equal imporant for my life.

Yesterday (on 01-Mar-10) only I have attended your programme number 938 at Mehsana. The subject was very good & we came with certain expactation. Intially it was subject related & interesting but in between we lost pityness (Karuna). The programme base was seriousness while converted in enjoying to control audeance.
