નરેન્દ્રભાઈ મોદી હમણા હમણા દિલ્હી જાય ત્યારે ટીવી પત્રકારોને નેશનલ અથવા ઈન્ટરનેશનલ જે પણ ટોપીક હોટ ચાલતો હોય તેના પર પોતાની ટિપ્પણી આપી દે છે. હમણા ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયામાં ભારતીય ક્રિકેટર હરભજનસિંઘ પર રેસીઝમનો આરોપ આવ્યો અને નરેન્દ્રભાઈએ આ અંગે ટીવી કેમેરાઓને નિવેદન આપ્યું કે ભારતે આ કિસ્સામાં પોતાના સ્વાભિમાનનું રક્ષણ કરવું જોઈએ.
પરંતુ જેપીએ અહીં વાત કરવી છે નરેન્દ્રભાઈએ આ પહેલા આપેલા અન્ય એક વિષય પરના આંતરરાષ્ટ્રિય મામલા વિષયક નિવેદનની. દર અસલ જ્યારે પાકિસ્તાનમાં બેનઝીર ભુટ્ટોની હત્યાનો મામલો જોરમાં ચાલી રહ્યો હતો ત્યારે નરેન્દ્રભાઈએ બેનઝીરની હત્યા પર દુ:ખ પ્રગટ કરતા કહ્યું કે બેનઝીર ભુટ્ટોની હત્યા પર હું દુ:ખ અને વેદના પ્રગત કરુ છુ.અમારો ગુજરાતીઓનો બેનઝીર ભુટ્ટો સાથે ખાસ અને અનૂઠો સંબંધ હતો. તેણીના દાદા જુનાગઢના દિવાન હતાઅને તેણીના પિતા અને બીજા સપરિવારના સભ્યોએ કેટલાક વર્ષો ગુજરાતમાં ગુજાર્યા હતા… વગેરે વગેરે
મારા મતે આ નરેન્દ્ર મોદી દ્વારા ફેંકાઈ ગયેલો ‘નો બોલ’ હતો. એવો જ ‘નો બોલ’ જેવો ‘નો બોલ’ અડવાણીએ તેમના પાકિસ્તાન પ્રવાસ વખતે મહંમદ અલી જિન્નાહની દરગાહ પર સજદો કરીને ફટકાર્યો હતો.
નરેન્દ્રભાઈએ બેનઝીર ભુટ્ટોના ગુજરાત કનેક્શનને લઈને સહાનૂભૂતિની વાત કરી એનુ બેકગ્રાઉન્ડ એવુ છે કે બેનઝીર ભુટ્ટોના દાદા શાહનવાઝ ભુટ્ટો પાંચ મહિના અને અગિયાર દિવસ માટે ગુજરાતના જુનાગઢના આખરી નવાબના દિવાન હતા. પરંતુ જેઓ ઈતિહાસ જાણે છે તેઓને સારી રીતે ખબર છે કે શાહનવાઝ ભુટ્ટો કઈ બલા હતી. શાહનવાઝ ભુટ્ટો કટ્ટર મુસ્લિમ હતા. જુનાગઢ પાકિસ્તાનથી માઈલો દૂર હોવા છતા તેમણે જુનાગઢને પાકિસ્તાન સાથે જોડવુ હતુ. તેમણે જ નવાબને જુનાગઢને પાકિસ્તાન સાથે જોડવા ઉશ્કેર્યા હતા અને સલાહ આપી હતી. એ તો સરદાર પટેલે આરઝી હકૂમત નામની જનતા સેના બનાવી અને મુંબઈમાં વંદેમાતરમ અખબાર ચલાવનાર ગુજરાતી શામળદાસ ગાંધીને તેનુ કામ સોંપ્યુ પછી તેના થકી નવાબ અને ભુટ્ટોએ નાછૂટકે પાકિસ્તાન ભાગી જવુ પડ્યુ હતુ અને જુનાગઢ ભારતમાં જોડાઈ શક્યુ હતુ. શાહનવાઝે જુનાગઢને હિંદુ બહુમતિ હોવા છતા, જુનાગઢ રાજ્યમાં સોમનાથનું મંદિર હોવા છતા અને જુનાગઢ-પાકિસ્તાન વચ્ચે સૌરાષ્ટ્ર અને કચ્છનો મોટો પ્રદેશ આવતો હોવા છતા પાકિસ્તાન સાથે જોડવુ હતુ. ૧૯ ઓગસ્ટ ૧૯૪૭ના દિવસે શાહનવાઝ ભુટ્ટોએ તત્કાલીન પાકિસ્તાની વડાપ્રધાન લિયાકતખાનને પત્ર લખ્યો હતો કે જુનાગઢે પાકિસ્તાન સાથે જોડાવવુ છે.અમે તમારા ઉત્તરની રાહ જોઈએ છીએ…જલ્દીથી જવાબ મોકલાવો. જ્યારે સપ્ટેમ્બર ૧૯૪૭માં જુનાગઢનો કબજો લેવા સરદાર પટેલ પ્રેરિત આરઝી હકૂમતન ફોજ જુનાગઢ તરફ ધસી રહી હતી ત્યારે ૧૬ સપ્ટેમ્બરે શાહનવાઝ ભુટ્ટોએ પાકિસ્તાનને લખ્યુ હતુ કે ‘અમને જણાવો કે પાકિસ્તાન જુનાગઢને શું મદદ પહોંચાડવાનુ છે. અમને આગળનુ કદમ લેવામાં સમજ પડે…
શાહનવાઝ ભુટ્ટોએ હિંદુ સ્ત્રી લખમીબાઈને વટલાવીને ધર્માંતર કરી મુસ્લિમ કરી તેની સાથે નિકાહ કર્યા હતા.અને જુનાગઢનું પાકિસ્તાન સાથેના જોડાણનુ સ્વપ્ન તૂટી જતા તથા જુનાગઢ ભારતનુજ અંગ રહેવાનુ છે એવી ખાતરી થતા પાકિસ્તાન ભાગી ગયા હતા.
આ શાહનવાઝ ભુટ્ટોની જુનાગઢ લેગસી તેમની પૌત્રી બેનઝીર ભુટ્ટોના નિધન ટાણે મિડિયાએ તો ખાસ્સી ચગાવી પરંતુ નરેન્દ્ર મોદી પણ એમાં શામિલ થઈ ગયા એ જાણીને આશ્ચર્ય થયુ. ગુજરાત સાથેનો ભુટ્ટો પરિવારનો નાતો શું ગૌરવવંતો હતો તો ગુજરાતી લોકોને ભુટ્ટો પરિવાર માટે કોઈ વિશેષ હમદર્દી હોય ?
બેનઝીર ભુટ્ટોની ખુદની જ વાત કરીએ તો તેમણે તેમના સમયમાં અફઘાનિસ્તાનની તાલિબાનને સપોર્ટ કર્યો હતો. કશ્મીર માટે પાકિસ્તાન સાતસો વર્ષ સુધી લડશે એવુ નિવેદન કર્યુ હતુ. ૧૯૮૮થી ૧૯૯૦ અને ૧૯૯૩થી ૧૯૯૬માં બેનઝીર પાકિસ્તાનની વડાપ્રધાન હતી ત્યારે બૂમો પાડી પાડીને કશ્મીરની સ્વતંત્રતા વિશે ભાષણ આપતી હતી. કશ્મીરના અને તાલીબાનના આતંકવાદીઓને બેનઝીર ઉશ્કેરણીજનક ભાષણો આપીને લડવા તૈયાર કરતી હતી એવા ઢગલાબંધ વિડિયો એ સમયે ટીવીમાં જોઈ શકાતા હતા.બેનઝીર ભુટ્ટોએ વડાપ્રધાન પદે હતા ત્યારે પાકિસ્તાનની ગરીબ પ્રજાને શોષીને કરપ્શન કરવામાં પણ કશું જ બાકી નહતુ રાખ્યું. પાકિસ્તાન જવાથી જિંદગીને ખતરો હોવા છતા સત્તા માટે પાકિસ્તાન પહોંચી ગયેલા બેનઝીર ભુટ્ટોને તેમણે જ એંશી-નેવુના દશકમાં જેમને તૈયાર કર્યા હતા એવા ઉગ્રવાદીઓએ મારી નાખ્યા તો એમાં નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ સહાનૂભૂતિ વ્યક્ત કરવાની ક્યાં જરૂર હતી? નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ બેનઝીરની હત્યાના મામલે આતંકવાદને વખોડવો હતો તો કહેવુ જોઈતુ હતુ કે જે આતંકવાદને પાકિસ્તાન પોષી રહ્યું છે એ ખુદ પાકિસ્તાનને જ નડશે અને નડી રહ્યો છે. બેનઝીરે કશ્મીરની લડાઈ માટે આતંકવાદ પોષ્યો પણ કશ્મીર ભારતમાં જ છે અને રહેશે, બેનઝીર ખુદ મરાઈ ગઈ. મુશર્રફ પણ આતંકવાદીઓના કેમ્પ બંધ નહી કરે તો કશ્મીર તો ભારતનુ છે અને રહેશે પણ મુશર્રફનુ ઢીમ તેણે જ તૈયાર કરેલા આતંકવાદીઓ ઢાળશે …મોદી કહી શક્યા હોત કે બેનઝીરની ઉશ્કેરણી અને મદદથી કશ્મીરમાં એંશી-નેવુના દશકમાં જે કશ્મીરી પંડિતો બેઘર, બેવતન થયા, મરાયા, કપાયા એનુ કર્મનું ફળ બેનઝીરને મળ્યુ …અને આ બધુ કહેવાની અનૂકૂળતા ન હોય તો મોદીએ બેનઝીર મામલે કોઈ નિવેદન કરવાનુ જ ટાળવુ જોઈતુ હતુ.પણ મોદી બેનઝીરના મોત પર દુ:ખ વ્યક્ત કરે, ગુજરાતીઓની સહાનૂભૂતિ અને ભુટ્ટો પરિવાર માટે પ્રેમ વ્યક્ત કરે એ આશ્ચર્યજનક છે.

I did not see this comment of modi in any media. but you may be right on that, if he did say that then its a mistake.
But why don’t you also hightlight the fact that he said that this is an oppertune time to get the independence to Sindh.
he talked about breaking pakistan in the same breadth. didn’t he?

Modi says his state had love for Pakistan’s Bhutto(heading of article on khabarein.info news site)
Modi’s words that can not be accepted in his statement are following:
1. I want to express my sorrow and anguish at the killing of Benazir Bhutto
2. We Gujaratis had a very special and distinct relationship with Benazir. Her grandfather was the Diwan of Junagadh and her father and other members of her family spent some years in Gujarat…
Jiye sindh and other things are fine but he could avoid saying these things above. If Modi is becoming Vajpayee, he should be stopped becoming it by us. It is also possible that Modi might be unaware about Bhutto’s dada shahnawaz bhutto’s role of merging Junagadh with Pakistan. Modi might had carried away by media reports of bhutto’s relations with gujarat and might had said two lines which jp opposes and I support him.

I think their is nothing wrong with the statement. And associating “jiye sindh” movement with condolences was smart move. I have journalist friends who had immediately open wikipaedia to unders what “jiye sindh” was. Again it is most appropriate opportunity for balkanisation of pakistan, and only person who indicated towards it was Namo with jiye sindh wrapped up in condolence message. As far as anti-indian activities of bhuttos are concerned, it was her “dharma” to talk about pakistan’s natonal interest. The issues like cruetly towards Kashmiri pandits, terrorism and anti-india agenda successfully propogated are more of Indian governments failure in securing Indian national interest than moral ground we are blaming on pakistan. If we had strong nationalist government giving strong answers to anti-national propogandas and elements, we would not have to worry about bhuttos anti-indian stance.

I dont think it was no-ball Mr JP. I see nothing wrong in giving condolences even to enemy, as she was determined to take on strong steps against terrorism and was last hope of normalcy to pakistan. I support what Namo said and see nothing wrong in it.

RSS mouthpiece Panchajanya in its latest edition says Bhutto was ‘never a friend of India’ but she used to hog the media limelight in this country.
“Her whole family maintained enmity towards India. Her father Zulfikar Ali Bhutto used to vow to fight with India for 1000 years and talked about the concept of Islamic bomb to target India,” it said.
It said Benazir promoted terrorism against India and herself became a victim of the menace.

Modi wants to become bajpai and wants to grab national throne. He should on the contrary continue to be what he is. Otherwise he will not be a ghaka or ghatka. this statement is as shocking as suppose bush express sorrow for death of saddam or laden. if sohrabuddin was one terrorist, benazir’s policy when she was pm was responsible for making of 100s of sohrabuddin in kashmir and taliban movement. If modi boasted sohrabuddin’s death, why did he express sorrow over benazir’s death? I am sorry Niraj Patel but this is ideological shift and not tolerable.

I am agree with you there is absolutely no need for any sympathy neighter for BHUUTO nor for any other Pakistani. But don’t forget Mr. Modi, he is big politician and may planning for LOKSABHA. Thats what I want to say and totaly understand that he never favor for M class.

It’s a trick of Narendraji to start Jiye Sindh Movement. Nothing but to start this movement. By this pakistan could be divided into
4 major portions and there will be no map of pakistan. Bhutoo belonged to Sindh. So Narendra modi’s statement to praise bhutto
was not because she had a Gujarat connection. The reason was to encourage SINDHI population to start Jiye Sindh movement.
Modi is mastermind. He can’t praise or do something like that without reason. He is a man with mission and his decision has always
some reasons.

dhaval jani i appreciate your faith on krishna, everybody should know that pakistan will wiped out in nearest future, ´pak always concentrate to get KASHMIR from BHARAT, they are paying a large amopunt of money and man power but they never realised that its not difficult but is imortal impossible.
Modi is a skilled politician…we should not think abt no ball may be our interpretation means sth else. and any how he is a member of RSS and cutter Hindu…so if say that i love pakistan eventhough its harmful for pakistan…so no way its a no ball…modi emerged as a hinduvadi in peoples heart not among people…there is a diffeence…ok Jai Hind…jai gujarat…Jsk
