અમદાવાદના શાહીબાગ પોલીસ સ્ટેડિયમમાં પતંગ ઉત્સવની ઉજવણી નિમીત્તે નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ તેર જાન્યુઆરી ૨૦૦૮ની સવારે આપેલુ વક્તવ્ય અહીં પ્રસ્તુત છે.
નરેન્દ્ર મોદીના ઉત્તરાયણ વક્તવ્યનો સાર…
-બાબા રામદેવજી મહારાજ ગુજરાત સરકારના ઉત્તરાયણના આ કાર્યક્રમમાં ભાગ લેવા સવારે ચાર વાગ્યે વલસાડમાં યોગ શિબિર કરીને અહીં ખાસ આવ્યા એ બદલ તેમનો આભારી છું. બાબા અહીં હાજરી આપીને પાછા વલસાડ જશે.
-બીજાઓએ વિશ્વમાં ઓળખ ઉભી કરવા અરબો ખર્ચવા પડે પણ ગુજરાત બાર રૂપિયાના દાંડિયા ને પતંગથી ઓળખ ઉભી કરી શકે છે. આ ગુજરાતીઓમાં જ સંભવ છે.
-રાજ્ય સરકારે પતંગ ઉત્સવ શરૂ કર્યો ત્યારે પતંગનું બજાર આઠ કરોડનું હતુ આજે સવાસો કરોડે પહોંચ્યુ છે. પતંગની ઈન્ડસ્ટ્રી કોટેજ ઈન્ડસ્ટ્રી છે અને પોલ્યુશન ફ્રી છે.
-ગુજરાત માત્ર પતંગ ચગાવી નથી જાણતો પણ ભલભલાના પતંગ કાપી પણ શકે છે એ એની ખાસિયત છે.
-આપણે ઓલમ્પિકનો ઉદઘાટન સમારંભ જોતા હોઈએ ને આપણને લાગે કે કેવો સરસ છે.આજે અમદાવાદ
