Gujarat’s custom department has collected record break revenue in financial year 2007-08 from Gujarat.
Custom department has three zones in Gujarat; They are Ahmedabad, Jamnagar and Kandla. In total from all three zones department has collected 15,306.77 crore Rs revenue from all the three zones of Gujarat.
This is 12.27 percent more than the previous financial year. Custom Revenue collection from Gujarat stands second highest among all the states of India. Maharashtra is No.1 in this regard.

ભારત સરકારના કસ્ટમ વિભાગ માટે મહારાષ્ટ્ર બાદ ગુજરાત સૌથી વધુ આવક આપતુ બીજા ક્રમનુ રાજ્ય ઠર્યુ છે. ૨૦૦૭-૦૮માં ગુજરાતે કસ્ટમ વિભાગને રેકોર્ડ બ્રેક ૧૫,૩૦૬.૭૭ કરોડની આવક આપી છે જે તેની પહેલાના વર્ષની આવક કરતા ૧૨.૨૭ ટકા વધુ છે. ગુજરાતમાં કસ્ટમ વિભાગ અમદાવાદ, જામનગર અને કંડલા એમ ત્રણ ઝોન બનાવીને કામ કરે છે.
કસ્ટમ વિભાગના આંકડા અનુસાર ગુજરાતમાં સૌથી વધુ કસ્ટમ ડ્યુટી ચૂકવનાર દસ કંપનીઓ છે:(૧)આઈઓસીએલ, જામનગર (૨)રિલાયન્સ ઈન્ડિયા લિમીટેડ, હજીરા (૩) એચપીસીએલ, કંડલા (૪) હિન્દાલકો, દહેજ (૫) આઈઓસીએલ, કંડલા (૬) ઈન્ડિયન પેટ્રોકેમિકલ લિમીટેડ, દહેજ (૭) એસ્સાર ઓઈલ લિમીટેડ, વાડીનાર (૮) અદાણી વિલ્મર લિમીટેડ, મુન્દ્રા (૯) પેટ્રોનેટ એલએનજી અને (૧૦) શેલ એલએનજી.
કોમોડિટીની દ્રષ્ટિએ ગુજરાતના કસ્ટમ વિભાગને સૌથી વધુ આવક કરાવનારી દસ કોમોડિટી છે: (૧)ક્રુડ ઓઈલ, (૨) વેજીટેબલ ઓઈલ્સ, (૩) રિફાઈન્ડ પેટ્રોલિયમ ઓઈલ્સ, (૪) કેમિકલ્સ, (૫) સ્લેગ અને એશ, (૬) આયર્ન અને સ્ટીલ, (૭) સોના સિવાયની ધાતુઓ, (૮) સોનુ, (૯) બળતણ ઓઈલ, મીણ, (૧૦) વાહનો અને એરક્રાફ્ટ

As a Gujarati, I’m proud of it. But we always been hesitant to be part of Indian Army !! What will happen in case miletry rule impose in future? who will fight for Gujarat? Do we have Gujarat batalian? In this case, all these porduct of gujarat will be taken away for nothing.
I like to see Mr. Modi encourage Gujarati youngsters to join Army, nevi or airforce.
