Salute to all of them who keep making this city of Ahmedabad continuously happening and rocking. Starting from 26th of April, 2008 Ahmedabad will have it’s new festival. That is FullMarxx short film festival.

India’s biggest short film festival FullMarxx short film festival is being organized by Mundra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad(MICA) at Wide Angle multiplex in Ahmedabad on 26th and 27th April, 2008. And not only for this year. This festival will be organized every year in Ahmedabad on larger and larger scale.

44 short films from seven nations including Spain, Australia, United Kingdom, USA, Korea, India and Belgium will be screened at this two days film festival.

Originally there were more than 189 entries from 17 nations. There were 59 films entry from foreign land, 19 entries from Gujarat, 2 from North East India. The first entry for this festival was unexpectedly from Andaman & Nicobar ilands.Gujarat based film makers have successfully reached to the screening round with their 7 short films.

Films will compete in suitable categories; Micro short(up to 10 minutes), Mini short(up to 20 minutes), Long short(up to 30 minutes), full short(up to 45 minutes).

Film Personalities like Tanuja Chandra(Screenwriter Director Sangharsh, Hope and Little Sugar), Mr. Onir(Director My brother Nikhil, Bas Ek Pal), Mr. Bharat Dabholkar(Theatre personality and leading ad-man) are part of the jury in film festival.

Best film of the festival will win 1 Lac Rs. prize. Other categories have prizes ranging from 10000 to 75000 Rs. plus three prizes of Apple McBook too.
