અમદાવાદમાં હાલમાં જ એસજી હાઈવેના દેવ આર્ક મોલમાં સિનેમેક્સ મલ્ટિપ્લેક્સ ખુલ્યુ. આ સાથે યુવાનોમાં ચર્ચા જામી છે કે ઓહો! આપણા શહેરમાં કેટલા બધા મલ્ટીપ્લેક્સ? પણ યુવાનોને કહેવાનું કે ભઈ જરા થોભો. હજુ તો બીજા પણ ઘણા મલ્ટીપ્લેક્સ આવી રહ્યા છે અમદાવાદમાં અને ગુજરાતમાં. એ બધા ખુલી જાય પછી તમે તમારે નિરાંતે ચર્ચા કરજો.

અમદાવાદના બિલ્ડર ચીમન અગ્રવાલે આશ્રમ રોડ પર પહેલવહેલુ સીટીગોલ્ડ મલ્ટીપ્લેક્સ ખોલ્યું હતુ. આ પછી તેમણે બાપુનગરમાં અને છેલ્લે શ્યામલ ચાર રસ્તા પર બીગ બઝાર વાળા બિલ્ડિંગમાં સીટીગોલ્ડ મલ્ટીપ્લેક્સ શરૂ કર્યા છે. હવે તેઓ ચોથુ મલ્ટીપ્લેક્સ મોટેરા સ્ટેડિયમ નજીક ઉભુ કરવાના છે જેમાં બે સ્ક્રીન હશે અને ૮૦૦ બેઠકો હશે. આ સિવાય બીજા બે મલ્ટીપ્લેક્સ તેઓ આંબલી(બોપલ) અને સૈજપુર બોઘામાં બનાવવાના છે. અગ્રવાલોએ અહીંથી જ નથી અટકવુ. તેઓ આ ઉપરાંત પણ અમદાવાદમાં જ અન્ય ચાર મલ્ટીપ્લેક્સ ઉભા કરવા માંગે છે અને અમદાવાદમાં સીટીગોલ્ડ બ્રાન્ડના કુલ દસ મલ્ટીપ્લેક્સ શરૂ કરવાની યોજના બનાવી દીધી છે.

અમદાવાદના તક્ષશિલા બિલ્ડર્સવાળા પૂર્વ અમદાવાદમાં બે મલ્ટીપ્લેક્સ ઉભા કરવાના છે જેમાંનુ એક તેમના મોલ પ્રોજેક્ટના જ ભાગરૂપે હશે. ઉપરાંત તક્ષશિલાવાળા સુરત, વડોદરા અને જુનાગઢમાં એક એક મલ્ટીપ્લેક્સ શરૂ કરવાના છે.

કુંજ ઈન્ફ્રાસ્ટ્રક્ચર વાળાઓ અમદાવાદના પૂર્વના નિકોલમાં સાડા ચાર કરોડનું મલ્ટીપ્લેક્સ ઉભુ કરવાના છે. કુંજ આ માટે આઈનોક્સ સાથે જોડાણ કરી રહ્યુ છે. મલ્ટીપ્લેક્સમાં ત્રણ સ્ક્રીન હશે અને એક હજાર બેઠકો હશે.

રિલાયન્સના અનિલ ધીરુભાઈ અંબાણી-અડગ ગ્રુપવાળાઓ મલ્ટીપ્લેક્સના ધંધામાં એડલેબ્સના બ્રાન્ડનેમથી પડ્યા છે પરંતુ ટૂંક સમયમાં તેઓ એડલેબ્સ નામ ત્યજીને મલ્ટીપ્લેક્સ બિઝનસને પણ ‘બીગ’ની બ્રાન્ડ હેઠળ લાવવાના છે. અમદાવાદના ડ્રાઈવ ઈન રોડ પર હિમાલયા મોલમાં તો એડલેબ્સનું એક મલ્ટીપ્લેક્સ છે જ. ઉપરાંત એડલેબ્સ કચ્છના ગાંધીધામના મધુબન અને જામનગરના મેહુલ સિનેપ્લેક્સમાં મેનેજમેન્ટ હસ્તક કરીને જોડાયુ છે.

બીજી તરફ અમદાવાદમાં શરૂ થયેલુ સિનેમેક્સ અગાઉ હિંમતનગર અને ગાંધીનગરમાં પોતાની હાજરી ધરાવે જ છે પણ હવે વડોદરા, રાજકોટ, આણંદ, સુરત અને મહેસાણામાં પણ મલ્ટીપ્લેક્સ શરૂ કરવાનુ છે.

જો વાત સીંગલ સ્ક્રીન થિયેટર્સની કરીએ તો સિનેમેટા એન્ટરટેન્મેન્ટ પ્રાઈવેટ લિમીટેડ, મુંબઈ ૨૦૦૮ના અંત સુધીમાં ગુજરાતના સીત્તેર જેટલા સીંગલ સ્ક્રીન થિયેટર્સનું મેનેજમેન્ટ લઈ લેશે. સિનેમેટાએ ભારતના ૫૦૦ સીંગલ સ્ક્રીન થિયેટર્સનુ મેનેજમેન્ટ લેવાની યોજના બનાવી છે જેમાં ૨૦૦૮માં ૧૦૦ સ્ક્રીન પ્રાપ્ત કરવાનો અંદાજ છે અને ગુજરાત તેમાં ટોપ પ્રાયોરિટીમાં છે. સિનેમેટા સીંગલ સ્ક્રીન થિયેટર્સમાં ગેમીંગ, ફૂડ કોર્ટ, એટીએમ જેવી સુવિધાઓ ઉભી કરશે. મોબાઈલ ફોનથી ટિકીટ બુક કરાવી શકાય એવી વ્યવસ્થા કરશે. મલ્ટીપ્લેક્સ કરતા ટિકીટનો ભાવ ૩૦ ટકા ઓછો રાખશે. ફિલ્મનું સેટેલાઈટથી પ્રસારણ કરશે અને પોતાના તાબાના તમામ થિયેટર્સને સર્વરથી જોડીને પરફેક્ટ આંકડા રાખશે. સિનેમેટા જે થિયેટરનું મેનેજમેન્ટ લેશે તેની રોનક ફેરવી દેશે. થિયેટરના મૂળ નામ સ્થાનિક લેવલે બહુજ લોકપ્રિય હોય છે તેથી મૂળ નામ રાખીને આગળ સિનેમેટા ઉમેરવામાં આવશે.

Ahmedabad’s CityGold mulitplex has it’s presence at three different places across the city. Now another CityGold multiplex is planned near Motera in Ahmedabad with capacity of 800 seats and two screens. CityGold has also planned two more multiplexes at Saijpur Bogha and Ambali(Bopal) in Ahmedabad. 4 more CityGold multiplex will also be built in Ahmedabad for which land and location has not been decided yet.

-Takshashila builders are planning two multiples in east Ahmedabad. One will be a part of their mall project. Takshashila is also planning to start multiplexes in Surat, Vadodara ane Junagadh.

-Ahmedabad bsed Kunj infrastructure has planned one multiplex with capacity of three screens and 1000 seats in Nikol area of eastern Ahmedabad. Kunj has partnered with Inox for this project.

-Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group’s Adlabs has already one multiplex on Drive In road of Ahmedabad. Now Adlabs has entered in to the management of two multiplexes; One in Gandhidham and another in Jamnagar.

-Cinemax which has already it’s presence in Ahmedabad, Ganghinagar and Himmatnagar in Gujarat is going to start more multiplexes in Anand, Surat, Vadodara and Mahesana.

-Cinemeta entertainment India pvt ltd will take management of some 70 single screen theatres across Gujarat till the end of this year. Cinemeta brand name will be added to the original names of these theatres. Cinemeta will refurnish these single screen theatres and will also build food courts, atm, gaming zone in the premises. Price of ticket will be around 30 percent less than multiplexes. Tickets will be available via cell phone call. Cinemeta will release films through satellite in it’s theatres.
