Gujarat: A day after Ahmedabad Bomb blasts

Official death toll crossed 49
After serial bomb blasts on Saturday evening, death toll of Ahmedabad blasts has crossed 49 on Sunday evening while figure of injured victims is at 203 among which 114 are under treatment in hospitals.
Cabinet meeting in Gandhinagar
Chief Minister Narendra Modi convened cabinet meeting in Gandhinagar today morning. Gujarat police chief P.C.Pande was also present to brief about police version. Probe of bomb blasts has been assigned to Crime branch. “state government have decided to form a Task force coordination committee. Principal secretary(home) will preside this committee. Forensic Science Laboratory chief, Gujarat police chief, secretory Law and Order and IB chief are four members of this committee. This committee will coordinate with other state government’s concern departments that are dealing with similar blasts investigations in their states. We can not look at Ahmedabad blasts in isolated way. Ahmedabad blasts were part of nation-wide series of acts of terror.” Minister of state for home Amit Shah said talking to the reporters after cabinet meeting.
ATS team in Mumbai active
Team of Anti Terrorist squad, Gujarat police was continuously in touch with their counterparts at Mumbai where Sanpada area’s foreign citizen is under investigation in connection with email from his IP address that was received by media office five minutes before the blast.
Flag March of armed forces including Army
To avoid any unlikely reaction of yesterday’s blasts, central government forces like Central Reserve Police Force(CRPF), Rapid Action Force(RAF) and Army were deployed in and around Muslim areas. Flag march of army was talk of the town.
Advani in Ahmedabad today
Leader of opposition L.K.Advani is visiting Ahmedabad today. He will visit hospitals. Arun Jaitly may accompany him. Advani’s is expected to arrive at 3.00 P.M.
Live Bomb recovered in Surat
In Surat one doubtful object was found on the railway station. Whole railway station was vacated to check. On another call Surat police rushed to the City lite road where live bomb was found and diffused.
NSG and FSL teams busy collecting evidences
Forensic experts from Gandhinagar FSL thoroughly visited and checked each blast site. Seven members National Security Guard(NSG) team also thoroughly investigated sites of blasts and collected evidences. NSG worked indipendently without the help of Gujarat police. They had ultra-modern equipments.
“Brother, Task has been accomplished”
Kamlesh Patel a resident from Sanala village in Amreli district has informed police that he had recieved two mysterious phone calls at the time of bomb-blasts. Both were received from Reliance telephone numbers. Caller said “Bhai, kaam ho gaya hai(brother task has been accomplished)” In second call Kamlesh Patel could heard a background voice similar to blast. When Patel tried repeatedly to dial same numbers that he had received, there was no reply. Patel has given those numbers to police. Police is investigating.
Mobile video of blast
Ahmedabad’s Bapunagar area resident Vijay Patel could captured an unclear and shaken video of live blast through his mobile phone. One TV news channel showed this video repeatedly today.

Can some one please tell modi…stop talking about progress!! if you r not able to protect us then all other things are meaningless. If there were high alerts in each and every states then what the hell all the IBs and all the ATS r doing? Y they are unable to find any clue? what they guys are paying 4?
And finally our politician they have the same answer all the time. They have written “quotes” . did any of them say “we will find them and punish them? they were saying like ” We will try to find them and punish them?” How many times you all want to try?
We need results. If you are not able to give that you dont have any rights to sit there.

I (We) will ask Mr.Modi to step down. because, there are many people from Gujarat like Mr.Rahul can stop this attackes as he looks like very intelectual and smart enough to run th Gujarat state. Pls get some results because, you have knowledge how to prevent terrorist attackes.

The Gujarat govt. must set an example for the country and the world as to how to deal with terrorism. I request the authorities to interact with world’s best anti-terrorist organizations and contextualize the information – skils – attitudes to our requirements and fight this menace tooth and nail. Spare no effort to finish this dreaded enemy of humankind. Let people also be made aware as to what needs to be done at their level. And let this be done frequently as people tend to forget. Let the police be euipped and still more be paid well and boosted on moral grounds. Let intelligence units be energized well. Judiciary too should augment its efforts. On the legal front, utilize existing laws optimally till you have better laws. I think we all know much of this, what is needed is steel resolve to act, to act and to act!!! Narendra Modi can do this. We wish he concentrates fully on security. Best wishes!!

Even if government captures will court of law punish this people? and even if court punishes then will Indian government allow the execution of punishment? Because as We all Know Terrorist Afsal Guru who is punished and his application for mercy is pending with President and Precident is waiting for Government of India’s advice on this and Government is not at all bothered to take any decission on this probably they are waiting for some terrorist group do something notorious and then get him freed from Jail also.
Police Offciers like DGVANJARA are in Jain just because of so called humanrights activites. Where are those Human rights Activites?
If We people keep our eyes open then only such act can be prevented as government can not have checking at each and every level and they do that All the people have to suffer.

Hi All,
Terrorism can not be STOP unless each and every citizen keep their eyes open for abnormal things(happening) arround. People has to be tactful and be responsible, call police or inform media for any suspicious activity.
These basterds terrorist should be hanged right way as soon as trial in court is over and verdict is given.
I know its not whole muslim community like that but I will request all muslim brothers to help nation to keep out these hate crimes.
I have full Trust on Mr. Modi will not talk about too much but he will act and set a best Example for the rest of the world.
hope people of India get united against Terrerism.

I dnt need any rights from you guys, and this is not the right time to argue a person like you. The only thing I want to say is Guj. government as well as Indian gov. must need to make some special efforts against terrerisom like USA ,Britain and Israel r doing. you also know that nothing have happend after 9/11 in USA y? because they are very cautious about it. And our Indian gov. are even unable to Hang Terrorists like Afsal Guru and many more.
And I knw I am not mature enough to blame anyone , but i knw i have right to say what i feel in this Free india.

The govenment should act stickley with the terriorst. and should take firm action. specialyy no political party
should paly their dirsty role as seen in afsal guru’s case.
I think it would better that no police/ army should not loose their lives for saving these dirty politicans, who are saving this terriost.

War against terrorism is more dangerous than the war against some country. In the case of War against country, one know who the enemy is but in case of terrorism, one does not even have the clue who the enemy is… Guys its pointless to blame police or government as you all know, even the countries like US and UK (no matter how powerful they are) are spared of terrorism. The maintain motive of these blasts is to destroy the integrity and stop the progress of the country. I think all the citizens of india try to be unitied and should focus only toward the progress of the country. So that the motive of terrorism become pointless. At the same time government of india should learn some lesson from US to destroy terrorism from roots.

The root of today’s trouble is in our constitution. When Britain liberated us by patition of India, we gave Muslamaan two big chunk ( west & East ) and allowed Muslamman to live in India if they want with all rights equal to Hindus from voting to properties. When the first election conducted in 1952, suddenly these Muslamaans became voting bank. Our constitution assembly members were not visionary, they should not have given voting rights to leftover Muslammans after partition of India, also they can NOT seek Public Offices. Why congress party is soft only because of Voting Bank, Are all Political Parties ready for Constituion Amendament, certainly NOT. With all due respect to all Muslamaans, after Partition they should not have Voting rights and can not seek Public Offices, this kind of equal justice should have been rendered on our people.

I appriciate that you haven’t taken my reply seriously. I agree with you that there is no point to argue eachother. But, why don’t you try to understand Mr.Modi’s limitations ? Neither he has a support from central govt nor from own party members, why ? because, he is a different person and wants to develop Gujarat.
As far as Afzal guru is concerned, its indian govt responsibilty and modi has nothing to do with that. If there was BJP govt in the central, It could have done many months ago.
I request you to study indternational and regional politics before comparing India with America, Israel or other countries. I hope that you will understand India’s limitations for not becoming countries like them.
I also request you not to take personally, but, change mentality over the issue. At this time. people of Gujarat and Modi want our support not such allegations from its own people

People must act in election according to qualities but not cast.
People must find honest and brave man or woman for politicians. Those Politicians may be poor or rich.
Voting systems runs in India according to Castvise are dangers for country. These systems must stop. These systems will be changed by only people of India. If we wish to have peace in our country then all media must act on this subject. Politician who are honest have never got to much money. I know most of people always respect to whom had money. People do not give respect to whom who are honest, who had no vote bank, who are poor that’s wrong. If you are poor or vote bank you are not able to get Ticket for politician party. Politician party allocated ticket to cast wise, money wise or muscle wise power because of this type system we got so many problem, born terrorists.

Why everytime we need to link terrorism with religion? While I agree, most of the terrorists follow islam, Its not fair to blame every muslim for act of handful for terrorists.
Its time we all, hindus and muslims, come togather to fight against terrorism. I personally believe this is the time where we maintain religous harmony and no need to provoke any religious sentiments.
The onus should be on the government, state as well as union. Congress is trying to blame modi and modi is blaming it back on Centeral goverment. Why? Isnt modi equally responsible? Isnt as a head of state its his morale duty to take responsibilty. Lets assume, centeral goverment did not give any intelliegence report, but wasnt Ahmedabad and state police on high alert following blore blast? and as I know, state police report to Modi.

Such events make me furious. I have read few of the comments made by some people in this blog that blame this on muslims and that politicians kept them as vote banks even though they might not have any patriotism for mother india. I am not sure if this is true or false as I am sure there are muslims who love mother india and are equally furious. But whatever the case may be whatever happened more than 50 yrs ago is history. I have some interesting facts to share: India my friends has almost 650,000 villages and cities, muslims are there in each and every village, each and every town, and each and every city. The muslim population in india is 153 million which is 2nd highest muslim population in world and it is more than anyother middle eastern countries where islam is the major religion. So people who want to get rid of muslims from india..it will never happen in million years. Its just not pragmatic.
So the question is would you fight amongst each other or rise together as INDIANS and make your mother india proud? Fight and someone might win or lose but at the cost of what?? SETTING THE COUNTRY BACK 100 YEARS, NO GOOD FUTURE FOR YOUR CHILDREN..CATASTROPHIC ECONOMIC STATUS…WORSENING POVERTY. Enemies of india are waiting for this to happen for INDIA to turn into SUDAN. So be wise and choose to rise together as one country as INDIANS..not as hindus, not as muslims. AND MOST IMPORTANT GET EDUCATED AND ELECT RIGHT POLITICIANS.
