Good rain brings good news. Two days power cut on industry in Gujarat is lifted following relief given by rain. Energy minister Saurabh Patel announced this on Monday in Gandhinagar.

Earlier due to erratic monsoon this year, Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited had announced two days power cut on non continuous industries to provide electricity to the agriculture sector. Some industries were found violating the staggered power cut and had faced penalty.

Most parts of Gujarat including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Valsad, Vapi, Anand, Amreli, Porbandar, Junagadh experienced continuous drizzle on Sunday night with the revival of monsoon. Showers continued on Monday. More rain in the next two days is expected. The forecast for the next 48 hours is intermittent rains with one or two heavy spells in some areas.
