Gujarat’s topmost humorist and stand-up comedian(or we should instead say ‘sit-down comedian’) Shahbuddin Rathod is now scripting his original work for a Gujarati film. Script will be based on his book ‘Hasano Varghodo’.

50 lakh Rs. budget film with the same title ‘Hasyano Varghodo’ will be directed by K Amar Solanki(Danibhai) and produced by JJ Kalasarjan. Dialogues of the film have been written by Jagdish Trivedi, who is pursuing his doctorate on Shahbuddin Rathod’s humor(Trivedi has already completed his first doctorate on another subject. He too is stand up comedian.)The film’s shooting will begin after Diwali.

The film story of ‘Hasyano Varghodo’ with clean humor revolves around ten friends and humorous happenings in their lives.

Shahbuddinbhai who has authored ten books and released 15 cassettes had dreamed to pen down a movie for last 38 years.

Gujarati films badly need good scripts. Shahbuddin Rathod’s entry into script writing is Great news for Gujarati film industry. If good direction, casts and acting add to this, new era of popular hit Gujarati films would begin.
