When youths(and particularly Gujarati youths) go to multiplexes to watch recent bollywood Hindi movie ‘Rock On’ they surely cheer and smile at starting of the one minute long Garba scene in the film. In the film ‘Rock On’ ‘Magic’ is a college band that needs to have some money to buy good music instruments to participate in Channel V’s rock competition. For this ‘Magic’ band accepts an offer to play Garba-Ras-Dandiya on old Hindi film songs with added Guitar touch. A Gujarati banner ‘Vrushali Shilp Co-operative Society’ comes on the screen(This Gujarati dominated society is actually situated at Chikuwadi, Linking Road, Khar, Mumbai) and ‘Magic’ band performs on the stage. Couple of songs are treated with Garba steps drum beats in this one minute scene. Gujarati audience through out this one minute smiles, laughs and cheers. Enjoy that scene here.
