700 new medical seats in Gujarat from next academic year

The students from Gujarat would not have to go to other states and pay hefty fees for medical education as Gujarat will have 700 more medical seats from the next academic year, Chief Minister Narendra Modi announced today in Gandhinagar.
At present Gujarat has 13 medical colleges with 1755 seats, 9 dental colleges with 720 seats, 18 physiotherapy colleges with 900 seats, 7 nursing college with 290 seats and one post graduate nursing college with 25 seats.
