Dalai Lama , ...”The worlds religions are like a beautiful garden. There are tall plants and short plants with a variety of color in their flowers and different fragrances and shapes of leaves . That kind of garden is much more interesting than a garden with only one kind of plant that is all uniform...” Just as different climates require different types of clothing to serve our need to be protected from the elements, the varieties of spiritual practice around the world have evolved to address the ever-present and ever-changing fears, needs and hopes of a diverse world and it’s people . Even when our cultural differences are many, there is a commonality between us. We all seek to be happy and to have a fruitful life. Engaging with all of humanity from a position of loving kindness and compassion is the only way to attain true and lasting individual fulfillment. Compassion is the cornerstone of all the worlds great spiritual paths. In ages past, insurmountable geographic borders and oceans maintained a level of separateness between people of different cultures. Those boundaries and therefore the isolation, created a “them and us” mentality between people of different lands. We can no longer look at things in this way. We are now financially and culturally connected because of modern technology. We therefore must embrace with loving kindness and understanding the rich and beautiful traditions of our neighbor brothers and sisters. It truly is time to wake up and stop fearing the unknown. To paraphrase HH. the 14th. Dalai Lama ,

Just as different climates require different types of clothing to serve our need to be protected from the elements, the varieties of spiritual practice around the world have evolved to address the ever-present and ever-changing fears, needs and hopes of a diverse world and it’s people .

Peaceful world starts with each peaceful person and change in each community as well as working with harmony is vital to next generation. Imagine all the energy and human lives wasted in wars,terrors and fights were used for better changes today this world could have been like heaven. I am really greatful to these great leaders and would love to read or hear their saying on this site. May GOD help them influence the world to bring a change that's so desperately needed for everlasting peace.
