Thursday, December 25, 2008

3:30 to 5:30 pm Kankaria related different tableau will start arriving at Kankaria lake front
7:00 to 7:10 pm Chief Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate newly developed Kankaria lake front near Vyayam Vidyalay entrance. Brahmins will chant mantras.
7:10 to 7:15 pm Chief Minister and other ministers will inaugurate Rangoli show and mini train. Modi will take a ride of the mini train with mentally retired children.
8:00 to 8:30 pm Gujarat University students and well-known artists of the city will present Ahmedabad related songs.
8:30 to 9:00 pm Chief Minister Modi’s address
9:00 to 10:00 pm District cultural program
10:00 pm onwards lighting and fire crackers show

Friday, December 26th, 2008

7:00 to 8:00 pm Horse show and dog show, mini train will take a round with blind children
8:00 to 9:00 pm Blind men music performance
9:00 to 10:00 pm Ras Garba by ward level contestants
10:00 pm onwards Fire crackers show

Saturday, December 27th, 2008

6:30 to 7:00 pm Balvatika’s redeveloped glass house inauguration
7:00 to 8:00 pm Roller skating performance. Mini train will take a round with def and dumb children.
8:00 to 9:00 pm City’s well-known artists and Gujarat University’s students will perform Gujarati songs.
10:00 pm onwards Fire crackers show

Sunday, December 28th, 2008

7:00 to 9:30 am Laughing club performance and Run for Kankaria event
9:30 am onwards Adventure sports, jumps from helicopter
6:30 to 7:00 pm Groundbreaking of modern snake house and new enclosure for elephants at the zoo
7:00 to 7:45 pm School band and Police/SRPF band display, Kankaria mini train will take a round with slum and kinder garden children
7:45 to 8:30 pm Gujarat University artists will perform ‘Katha-e-Ahmedabad’ and theme based drama,skit
8:30 to 9:00 pm One India human chain, Ahmedabad based people from various states of India will perform their state’s traditional folk dances and folk musics
10:00 pm onwards Fire crackers show

Monday, December 29th, 2008

9:30 am onwards starting of canvas painting event
6:30 to 7:00 pm Inauguration of canvas painting, aquarium and auditorium
7:00 to 8:00 pm Tricycle rally, mini train will take a round with handicapped children
