The Gujarat Science City has launched a new IMAX 3D film, Magnificent Desolation – Walking on the Moon in Hindi version on its large format theater to give a 40 minutes experience of moon walking. The film is being shown at 6:00 pm at Science City.

Only twelve astronauts have the experience of moon walking through the Apollo Space Mission during 1969 to 1972. This film revolves around experiences of these twelve astronauts on the Moon surface. Thrilling IMAX film puts the audience right alongside the first steps on the lunar surface and the continued adventure throughout the Moon missions.

The Magnificent Desolation has been produced by IMAX Film Corporation and presented by Tom Hanks co-producer of Max Movies is a “Visual Masterpiece” with stunning visuals and includes historical footage of National Aeronautics Space Agency(NASA) as well as reenactments of computer generated imagery.

Speaking to DeshGujarat, Science City’s Narottam Sahu said the Science City has procured this film at a cost of Rs 30 lakh for a year. When the indigenous Chandrayan-1 is marking 200 days around the moon highlighting the glorious achievement of space science and technology of the country, it is perfect time for the Gujarat Science City to launch this film.
