In a latest development in connection with Surat rape case, Surat Police Commissioner Deepak Swaroop has been transferred. He was appointed as Surat Police Commissioner on 28th of February early this year. He could survive his prestigious position for just four months.
Surat range I.G. Shivanand Jha is replacing the outgoing Police commissioner.
The people of Surat were angry on Deepak Swaroop because he had allegedly passed controversial remarks in connection with rape case. On Friday after a girl was raped, when parents of the girl met the Police Commissioner, he allegedly said there are no proofs that the girl resisted the kidnapper rapists. The city top cop also said, the girl was in compromising position with another boy when she was kidnapped. Commissioner Deepak Swaroop also tried to hide the names of youths involved in this case and their police background.
It was DCP Crime Subhash Trivedi who later took control of the situation. Subhash Trivedi completely denied that the girl was in compromising position when kidnapped. Trivedi clarified that the girl was with a boy only to exchange Chemistry notes, when three youths came there and kidnapped her.
Growing anger against Deepak Swaroop was visible on the streets in Surat throughout Saturday. Women organisations burnt an effigy of the commissioner and blockaded the road. Bajrang Dal activists staged protest in front of the Commissioner office but he didn’t turn up there. Activists shouted slogans in front of the Commissioner’s residence. 8 protesters were detained.

Such rapes happen bcoz, in islam, non-muslims have an inferior status. So raping them as per islamic precepts is not a serious crime, if at all a crime!

Dee-pak Swaroop should not be transferred but should be fired.
The incident of his mishandling the case should be written dawn in his permanent record.
He should face a disciplinary procedure from a senior officer from another state.
He should be demoted to the lowly rank of a ordinary constable, with the pay of a constable,
if not fired.
What happens to the Police fathers of Brave Rapists?.Have there shops been raided for more tapes of more incidents like these.? Are these rapists going to be running Mobile phone shops from Surat city?
