We had glass milk bottles and we used cloth shopping bags years ago. We were eco friendly to begin with,but by following west blindly we created plastic flowing on streets for poor cows. We should go back to those practises and plastic should be recycled just like papers.If everybody starts picking up and noone throws it will get clean sooner. India was far advanced,just foreigners did not have enough brains to understand and made look bad and indians without thinking started copying and creating mountains of waste. west=waste and east= ista dev. If we shout at top of our voices against "Gau Hatya" (Beef consumption), but don't show any concern on this issue, we are nothing but hypocrites. They don't harass anyone most of the time, but they don't contribute in driving the nation forward either. While some of them may be saints in real meaning, most of them are just living at the mercy of society. If you give them 2 Rs, they will ask for 5 Rs and say what can you do with 2 Rs these days? If you don't give them anything, some of them curse you. Better at least they are doing something. I agree with you Kent. If you go to Haridwar, Kashi, Mathura, Hrishikesh and many other places in India, they are just smoking Ganja or Charas in their Chillam and ask for money. Agree with you.
