Shankarsinh,Suresh Mehta form Prabudh Nagarik Shakti Manch
Shankarsinh,Suresh Mehta form Prabudh Nagarik Shakti Manch
8 October, 2009
Two former Gujarat chief ministers — Shankersinh Vaghela and Suresh Mehta — today launched a ‘non-political’ forum, Prabudh Nagarik Shakti Manch (PNSM), to expose alleged failures of the BJP ruled Gujarat government.
The forum will raise the issues of teachers, government employees, policemen, and also highlight other topics related to ‘larger public interests’, Vaghela, who was Union Textiles minister in the last UPA government, told reporters here.
Agitation programmes will be launched across the state to highlight the issues and also expose the misrule of the government, he said.
“Under the rule of Modi, Gujarat has seen erosion in democratic values, traditions because the administration of misrule prevails everywhere,” the Congress leader alleged.
Terming Modi’s government a failure in administration and governance, the Congress leader said not a single section of the society was happy with the present government.
Our say
This will just add up more press releases, statements, dharna and symbolic fasts.
The real people will not join Mehta and Vaghela because both of them were failure when they were in power.
In last assembly election, Mehta didn’t contest at all. His almost all loyalists joined back the BJP during Lok Sabha elections. Vaghela lost last Lok Sabha election badly early this year and his own party(Congress) doesn’t consult him on local issues.
Such old politicians who are thrown out of the politics by the people, don’t want to retire. They should now enjoy and spend the money they made when they were in power.

A non-political forum to highlight the misrul eof modi government -isn’t it ridiculously political?

GO AND ASK TO YOUR RULLING PARTY STATES WHAT IS THE CONDITION OF TEACHERS,WOMEN AND OLD AGE PEOPLE.

another drama by Vaghela and Mehta
all Gujaratis know that allthough this PNSM is referred to as a non political outfit……….what essentially they will do is work indirectly for the Congress…………absolute shame that they have to go down so low…………
if they want to highlight the wrong doings of the rulling party……….why not do it in a mature political way ………….in a democratic set-up our constitution allows any political party to work in a way that benefits the common man….than where’s the need of political people like Vaghela and Mehta to form a non-political outfit like PNSM………….another disguised way to make money…………..

Yes, not a single section of the society is happy with the present government and that is the only reason people are electing Narendra Modi again and again and he has been CM since last 9 years, right?
Losers like Shankarsinh Vaghela and Suresh Mehta should effectively contribute as an opposition members. There is no problem if they try to bring up the misrules done by Government if those misrules are genuine and people have suffered. But if they are going to bring up problems just for the sake of acceleration of their political career, then the public will never forgive them.
Obviously, they will find people who are not happy with the governance for one or other reason but the question is by bringing their issues to the surface, would they facilitate the way for the government to solve the problem or just keep shouting on top of their voice about problems and won’t let Government do anything.
This is what exactly happened in Narmada Bachao Andolan. Narmada Bachao Andolan started with a genuine issue of rehabilitation of Adivasis living in the area which was going to be submerged. It was a very genuine concern that where would these Adivasis go if their land will submerge and they will be homeless. But what followed afterwards was a disaster. The problem arose when Government started the initiative to rehabilitate Adivasis trying to get them moved to their new homes and give them the land. At that point, just because the Government efforts to rehabilitate Adivasis, Medha Patkar and company ran out of the issues to fight against the Government because whatever they were fighting for, Government agreed to accept it. So then Medha Patkar and her colleagues started opposing the Sardar Sarovar Dam itself for their own selfish reasons. Medha Patkar is completely anti-development and instead of fighting for Adivasis to get them land and home, she and her colleagues diverted their attention to oppose the dam construction. They crossed all the limits when they stopped Adivasis from accepting help from the Government by brainwashing them. Now the Government wanted to rehabilitate them and Adivasis wanted to take that compensation but Medha Patkar and comany were stopping Adivasis to take help from Government and on the other hand, they made documentaries and continued to blame the Government that they were not helping Adivasis. I wonder why no journalist went there and did a sting operation. We would have known the truth what Medha Patkar was doing. I saw her interview on IBN with Karan Thapar and she was disgusting throughout the interview. Here is the link,

The moral of the story is Suresh Mehta and Shankarsinh Vaghela may do the same thing. Bring up issues and problems of people and then stop government from solving them to continue getting political mileage and pushing their careers forward at the expense of poor public.
P.S.: The irony of the situation is that this forum formed by Suresh Mehta and Shankarsinh Vaghela is supposed to be NON-POLITICAL FORUM but will be used to play all kind of politics against Government as both the leaders don’t get much attention these days in Congress so they desperately needed to do something like this.
Thanks

Continuing on the same track, Medha Patkar (like Suresh Mehta and Shankarsinh Vaghela) also formed a party called People’s Political Front and contested Loksabha Election in 2004 where they did not win a single seat. The only difference between these two are Medha Patkar was a so called non-political social worker and opened a political forum while Suresh Mehta and Shankarsinh Vaghela are political persons and now have opened a so called non-political forum. Ultimately, it will be used to play politics only.
Watch the interview videos and you will feel like going inside the screen and tightly slapping Patkar multiple times. Karan Thapar has described her very well in the interview as Ecoromanticist which she really is looking at her views. Completely hopeless people. Whenever government tries to do something, these kind of people oppose it for their own interest.

Good luck Mr Mehta and Vaghela……….u gotta go something in order to prove your existence…..lol

Vaghela and Suresh Mehta are losers. They are doing all these because their importance has slowly declined in Congress but their plan will fail terribly. People in Gujarat are enjoying the development and prosperity under Modi Government. Suresh Mehta and Shankarsinh Vaghela should now retire and do something productive for society rather than doing these political gimmicks.

@ Dr. Parth Mehta,
Very nice analysis indeed! Thanks for highlighting in true context.
Presently we NEED the genuine leadership of Narendra Modi, for he has the heart and the mind to bring law and order at the doorsteps of the people through a model of peace and accountability.
Slowly but steadily Gujarat is revealing to the rest of the world ‘Satyameva Jayate’. that, silent yet firm dedication always wins over the Congress chamchagiri politics that is completely obliged to the enemies of our purchasing power and our purity, to the point of enslavement through criminal unconstitutional means.

Hey, what happened to vaghela’s danada sena ” shakti sena ” ???? Looks like vaghela is banking on those guys with danda to join his organisation as ” prabudh nagarik “.
Shankarsinh’s last successful adventure was to flee & flew with few corrupt MLA to KHAJURAHO.

Unfortunately, majority of the NGOs working in India have hidden political agends inspite of being non-political organisation on paper. They also claim millions as aid-fund for achieving the dirty agendas on behalf of foreign nations or some anti-national politicians. NBA, Teesta and there are many more falling in this category.
Shakarsinh probably trying to achieve something similar….

Looks like couple of budhhu nagariks are trying to stay in the press, hoping to fight the next election. Let’s hope they get a bit Prabudh, realize their time is up and retire. This is such a shamelessly open finger-pointing club! They should probably think about teaching the poor kids who do not have access to schools, or feeding the hungry, or cleaning up roads through some kind of adopt-a-road organization. That would be non-political, and more importantly, useful to society. This is not going to earn them any respect. They will be just a couple of monkeys that entertain the modi-hater crowd.

it seems all who have commented against the very formation of this prabuddh nagrik shakti manch are i feel not having the ground realities of gujarat at heart.they are under the impressions of the publicity campaign which has been done by the present ruler named modi.
do u all know that more than 33% of the population of our gujarat does not get pure drinking water.i m giving only one example though i have got many up my sleev.
next mere expansion demographically of cities cannot be termed as development and the infra structure needed for the expanded cities and small towns can never be considered as development.so gujarat has developed under the so called able leadership of modi is a farce.
have the citizens been told that the vibrant extra vaganza has cost the government how much and what have been the results of this expenses never.
there has also been comment thta he is chief minister for 9 years to remind them to b c.m. for 9 years u have not to get elected every year.firstly how he was elceted under what circumstannces all know .if his work was so very much nice then why the total assembly seats won by his party were less than before? anyway winning of some more assembly seats in by elections does not make a man more popular.
to sum up for this time it is a matter of time today he is the c.m. may be tomorow he amy not be so be positive for development and not for a particular person.join the manch to have your say
December 15th, 2009 at 12:50 pm
i have had the opportunity to see many things propaged by the present c.m. i would like to comment on few as under
1-there has been lot many things said about the m.o.u for the tidal power generation being signed.actually it is a m.o.u for the assessing of the tidal power resourses of our state and not for generating power like this
2-the c.m. urged the participants of the indiachem gujarat to produce the ink for currency printing but the sad part is that does the government know that the ingrediants of this ink are not at all possible to be made in india or are not found in india so how can u produce them!!!!!!!!!!!!
many other observations will follow
all the best be watchfull
