CID Crime to Investigate Jain monks deaths in road accidents

A delegation of prominent Jain community members today met the minister of state of Home Amit Shah with demand to ban anti-Bania organization Anoop Mandal and investigate the accidents in which Jain monks died during last several years.
The minister ordered a CID Crime investigation of all cases of accidents in which the Jain monks were hit and killed during last two years. The minister said that whether to ban Anoop Mandal or not would be decided only after completion of investigation by the state police.
Three-member CID Crime team will be headed by Additional DGP Shri VV Rabari.
It should be mentioned here that about 40 Jain monks/sadhvis were killed in road accidents in year 2008. The figure is 37 this year so far.
Meanwhile, Gunanuvad sabha of late Jambu vijayji maharaj and Namaskar vijayji maharaj will be held at Palitana on Monday. Minister of state for Home is expected to remain present during this sabha to ensure Jain munis that proper actions would be taken by the state government in Jain monks accidental death cases.
