It’s a big week-end in Ahmedabad. Lots of things to do and lots of places to visit.

Sabarmati River front is hosting a grand Uttarayan extravaganza with International Kite Festival, food court, exhibition, adventure activities, theme decoration and much more. The government of Gujarat’s Tourism department has organized this event.

Gujarat Samachar – INT ‘s 22nd Gujarat level drama competition will be held tonight at Thakorbhai Desai hall.

Today is last day of state-level book fair organized at Law society ground in Law Garden area.

International Plastic machinery exhibition – ‘Plexpo’ is underway inside the University AC exhibition complex near Manav Mandir/University.

Another major engineering exhibition – ‘Engimach 2010’ is going on at University ground.

Inside-Outside Mega show has been organized on Ahmedabad Education Society ground.

Then a national hand-loom expo has been organized at Ahmedabad Haat ground near Vastrapur lake.

Christian society of Ahmedabad has organized a rally to welcome relics of Saint Alphonso in the city. Relics of Alphonso are for the first time traveling out side Kerala.

At 5 pm at Vastrapur lake, Swami Sachchidanand is going to felicitate those persons who are not in lime light but they have done something to reckon with.

Saptak classical music festival is on its height today at Kashiram Agrawal hall.

From last some years, Ahmedabad is seeing increasing amount of exhibitions that imply ticket entry. While Inside-Outside Mega show has Rs 20 entry fee, the book fair’s entry fee is Rs 05 and Engimach Rs 60.

Every winter, the city of Ahmedabad witnesses lots of events, exhibitions, conferences, every week-end. But this week-end seems the most happening.
