Rajesh Adani gets interim bail from Gujarat High Court
Ahmedabad, 27 February, 2010

The Gujarat High Court justice Rekhaben Doshit today issued a notice to CBI and granted interim bail to Rajesh Adani, MD of Adani Enterprise, who was arrested by CBI in an alleged customs duty evasion case on Saturday morning.

Rajesh’s brother Vasant Adani had filed habeas corpus in urgent court claiming that Rajesh Adani was arrested without any prior notice or arrest warrant and therefore his custody was illegal.

The Court has scheduled the matter for further hearing on Tuesday next week.

“On February 27, 2010 CBI issued an arrest memo for Rajesh Adani, without providing any reason or details,” Adani group stated earlier in the statement.

Mr. Editor can you find the any petition in gujaarat high court of common man who get bail with in 8 hours of arrest from high court judge’s home!!!!
Where is the article 14 of constitution of india for the equal right of justice, if common man cant get the same process what follow for rich people, in Gujarat High court if you get Muscle or Money power you get what you want this prooves. sorry to say that but
“My comment on High Court Judge is a legitimate opinion which I am entitled to express…I would like to clarify that financial corruption is by no means the only kind of corruption prevalent in the judiciary, and whenever I use the word ‘corruption’ in relation to the judiciary, it is not used in the narrow sense of financial corruption by way of taking direct bribes, but in a more general sense of anything which corrupts or influences by extraneous considerations, the judicial process.”

I do not support Adani’s corruption but this is definitely a big conspiracy to defame Adani. Why CBI all of suddent makes an arrest on weekend so Adani cant find bail quickly.

CBI has to serve notice before arresting someone unless it is a criminal case. India is a democracy and CBI also has to follow the procedures.

I guess this dirty act of CBI was directed by some bigger business rival with political influence. These kind of things lets India down.
