Ahmedabad, DeshGujarat, 9 March, 2010
Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC) officials on Monday filed a complaint against Omprakash Vasudev, a resident of Desai ni pol, who cut down a 150-year-old Banyan tree without AMC permission here.
Vasudev was detained by Kalupur Police and later released after written assurance to come back when called again in connection of case lodged against him.
According to AMC’s Parks and Garden department Director Jignesh Patel, prior permission of AMC is mandatory before cutting any tree in the city. Vasudev violated this rule for which he would have to pay penalty.

Good that this law is being followed. There should be a penalty in the form of mandatory attendance of a botany class in school, plant a new tree of same type and water it or a 150 Rs. fine for each month if the tree is not taken care of.
During the goondaraj British and Kangressi rule millions of trees were cut down and massive deforestation happened in Gujarat. Those mafia Kangressis have no repent for their abuse of power.
What about the planned 500 trees to be cut down in Gandhinagar to build a proposed Mahatma mandir and auditorium?
Who is going to pay for that crime?
Become a green citizen, adopt the ways of Hindutva.

Also these Kangressi organized criminals are carrying out illegal mining in Saurashtra and in several parts of South Gujarat, who is going to stop these environmental terrorists?
We need a special environment-centric green police force in Gujarat who specialize in environmental crimes and who are given the law-mandated power for innovative investigation and prevention of our natural resources like clean water, clean air, Mother cow, and clean surrounding.

@param
It is Modi’s hand-picked team in AMC so you can expect rules are followed, while in the goondaraj Kangress states even our constitution is not being followed, they cut down common man and poor people into fictitious majority/minority, they cut down our heritage Raam Setu, they cut down our society into divisive religions, and when it comes to perpetuating their organized crimes, they don’t even spare Gujarat.
Just like AMC, Gandhinagar too has to wake up to protect our rich environment vital for a positive economy.
