A heritage walk was organized in north Gujarat’s Palanpur town early this week.
Organized by Historical and Cultural Research Centre, Ahmedabad, under guidance of district collector RJ Patel, the walk was sponsored by Dhajavala Education Trust.
The walk covered Pataleshwar Mahadev, Pallaviya Pashwanath Jain Mandir, Kirti Stambh, Nawab Shahi Makarbara, King George Fifth club and Jorawar palace.
Palanpur is a Nawabi town that had seven Darwaja(gates): Delhi darwaja, Gathaman darwaja, Malan darwaja, Mira darwaja, Virbai darwaja, Sadarpur darwaja and Salempur darwaja. While some historical structures are in good condition in Palanpur, some other are are on the verge of extinction.

This is extremly good idea…. The people who remembers their roots, will survive….
I think each city should have “HERITAGE” walk for the NATION…
People of “PALANPUR”, think of your PAST and explain to this generations… HOW GLORIFIED heritage was and learn from it…. DO NOT MAKE MISTAKES THEY MADE. learn from it….
Just look around and you will find people without morals and ethics…. Only 100 years ago, people were “GULAM”, but there had morals and ethics….. THIS IS VERY GOOD THOUGHT>>>>> GOOD LUCK< I WISH YOU WELL….
