Gujarati wedding season resumes this week

Wedding season for Gujarati Hindus is back.
From 16 to 26th of May, thousands of weddings are organized in the state after gap of six months due to lacking of suitable Muhurt.
There was not a single muhurt available from Kartak to Chaitra months this Gujarati Hindu year. However 16 May is Akhatrij which is considered as the best muhurt. Moreover May 18th and 19th are Pushya Nakhshatra days.
From Bend baja to wedding halls, Brahmins and party plots everything is booked for these three days. Even after that suitable muhurt will continue till 26 May baring ‘ekam’.
