Sachin Tendulkar visits ex-Ranji player in Ahmedabad hospital

Dalbir Singh – a National level Ranji Player was admitted at Shalby Hospitals, Ahmedabad on May 18 under Dr. Jawahar Pachore, Director – Dept. of Hip Joint Replacement. Dr. Anant Joshi, doctor to Mr. Dalbir Singh is also a personal doctor to Sachin Tendulkar.
Dalbir had played with Sachin Tandulkar at under 15 level and the expenses towards his surgery ia being borned by Scahin Tendulkar. In fact Sachin came to the hospital in person to look into the health of Darlbir.
In the past Dalbir Singh had a serious accident leading to head injury due to which he was on a prolonged dose of steroids. This resulted in Avascular Necrosis (loss of blood supply to the hip bone). The patient has undergone hip replacement surgery at Shalby Hospital, surgery lasted around 2 hrs and the patient’s is stable and recovering well.
