Modi wants ‘Gujarat cell’ at Japanese consulate office in India
Gandhinagar, DeshGujarat, 26 May, 2010

Japan’s Mumbai based consul General Shri Tamon Mochida called on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday in Gandhinagar. Gujarat Chief Minister suggested Mochida to set up new Gujarat cell in Japanese consulate office in Delhi or Mumbai to help Japanese companies involved in Gujarat for their business.

Shri Modi told Mr. Mochida that almost every week one or other Japanese delegation visits Gujarat to discuss business. In this connection, Japan should start new Gujarat cell in its India based consulate office to facilitate them. Japanese consulate was positive about this suggestion. He said he would forward it to Japan government.

Chief Minister Modi invited Japanese Prime Minister to lead Japanese delegation in Vibrant Gujarat summit 2011.
