Once in eight day water supply in Dahod, that too for an hour
Dahod, DeshGujarat, 20 July 2010
Residents of east Gujarat’s Dahod district headquarter Dahod town get water supply once in eight days due to shortage of water in reservoir responsible to supply water. Even this once in eight day supply comes for only an hour and that too in low pressure style.
There is now minute amount of water available in Patadungari reservoir that supplies water to Dahod town.
Hand pumps, wells, rivers and village tanks are dried as there was not sufficient rain experienced last year.
The monsoon that was declared officially on 15th June has so far brought only 17.12% rainfall till 29th of July this year. Dahod taluka has observed 24.94% rain fall of season.
