A fifty by four and half meter long wall mural of India’s iron man Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel wsa opened by Ahmedabad Mayor Kanaji Thakor on Sunday morning.

The mural piece has been created by artist Apurv Desai, on busy road connecting Ahmedabad’s railway station and Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation office just outside Dhal ni pol.

It was local MLA and Gujarat Assembly Speaker Ashok Bhatt’s idea to use this wall with some meaningful expression. Bhatt is currently hospitalized. He is critical and on ventilator. Sadly, he couldn’t attend the function.

Sardar Patel has been shown as a person who made united India. Shri Somnath Mandir, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation office building where Sardar used to sit as Mayor of the city, Sardar Patel’s quotes etc. are depicted in the mural piece.
