Amitabh Pathak has been appointed as a new Police Commissioner of Ahmedabad.

1977 batch Gujarat cadre IPS officer Pathak has been transferred from Human right commission of Gujarat, where he was ADG.

Shri Pathak will replace outgoing Police Commissioner of Ahmedabad Shri S.K Saikia.

Saikia has been shifted to Human right commission of Gujarat, to replace Pathak.

Pathak, will take charge of his post anytime after September 13.Pathak is now on leave and abroad. He is expected to return on September 9.
