Shri Somnath Trust’s Rs.11 crore annual budget approved

Shri Somnath Trust’s today’s meeting of Trustee board was presided by Shri Keshubhai Patel and attended by Trustees Shri Narendra Modi, Lalkrishna Advani, Prasannavadanbhai Maheta, Shri P.K.Lehri and Shri J.D.Parmar.

The meeting was held at VVIP circuit house in Gandhinagar’s sector 19.

Year 2009-10’s annual accounts were okayed in today’s meeting. Also the annual budget of about Rs. 11 crore was approved.

It was decided that various projects worth Rs.762 lakh such as (1) Ratnakar tat which is about landscaping, pathway, sitting pavilion, retaining wall, (2) Safety chain wall at Somnath sea shore to prevent tourists in the sea, (3) Recently kicked off project of road beautification from Somnath circle to Vir Hamirsinh Gohil circle and upto Golokdham campus with pathway, service road, walkway, sitting pavilion, water hut, landscaping, grant entrance, solar and LED based street lights etc will be completed as earliest as possible.

The trust has proposed Rs. 4 crore project to state government’s water resourced department for potable water supply. The meeting discussed in detail about this project, and it was proposed that the project should be approved earliest as possible.

As Shri Somnath is Harihar teerth, the project of revamping the gau shala with latest technology available was approved in the meeting.

A video presentation of ‘Shiv Srushti Project’ was presented in the meeting.

With contribution made by Shri Somnath Trust and some donors, a new Sagar Darshan guest house with latest facilities is being constructed. The works is in advance stage so far as one block is concerned. This block will have a big dining hall, conference hall, meeting room, club house and 40 rooms.
