In reference to Indonesian Hindu University’s MoU with Jamnagar Ayurvedic University, Shri Modi in his speech said, “though Indonesia has highest number of Muslims in the world, it has named its university as ‘Hindu university’. “We can just imagine what if such name is proposed for some university back home in India, how a group of people would start opposing it in the name of secularism!”

“Ayurveda is an age-old medicine system. There is a need to reestablish it in the world’s holistic healthcare market. If this can be done our farmers will start growing medicinal herbs and will capture the world market outdoing China”, said Chief Minister.

Mr Modi stressed for evolving new way of treatment by combining modern diagnosis technology with Ayurvedic system. He also emphasized on good packaging of Ayurvedic medicines and said such measures will quickly grow the acceptance of Ayurveda among the patients.

Ayurvedic practitioners leaving for Allopathy makes people skeptical about Ayurveda. These practitioners should rethink their move as Ayurveda undoubtedly has a bright future ahead, he said.
