Ahmedabad, 18 October, 2011
Gujarat Congress legal cell vice president and one of the person involved in Sanjiv Bhatt case as per the KD Panth complaint Vijay Kanara today filed his anticipatory bail plea in Ahmedabad(rural) court. The court ordered relief to Kanara till 20th of October. This means the police can not arrest him before 20th Oct.
Kanara’s name figures in constable KD Panth’s complaint against suspended IPS cop Sanjiv Bhatt. Till now he is witness in Sanjiv Bhatt case, however he fears that at any time he could be made accused.
It was kanara who had allegedly prepared KD Panth’s affidavit in his office in presence of Sanjiv Bhatt and in alleged consultation on phone with Gujarat Congress president Arjun Modhwadia. Kanara had talked thrice with Gujarat Congress President Arjun Modhwadia during the process of making an afidavit. Also one SMS was sent to Modhwadia from Kanara’s phone at 3.30 am.
Kanara is important for police because after his, the next arrest could be Arjun Modhwadia’s.
Update
Sources say police is in process to add section 120b in this case. This section is pertaining to conspiracy. This section gives extra power to police to reach Kanara and Modhwadia.
