Subramanian Swamy compares The Indian Express with Porbandar

A warrior against corrupt regime in centre, Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy today compared the Indian Express newspaper with Gujarat’s Porbandar town.

When his one of the followers on Twitter told Swamy that Indian Express has been taken over by thugs and power brokers nowadays, Swamy replied that it is like Porbandar where bootleggers rule the roost nowadays.

“The Indian Express used to be a respected and fearless paper till Goenka was alive. Now thugs and power brokers have taken over,” tweeted Yogesh Sharma on Twitter.

To this Shri Subramanian Swamy replied on tweeter: “Like Porbandar (the place where Gandhiji born) where bootleggers rule the roost nowadays.”

In another Gujarat related tweet when one Sridhar, follower of Swamy tweeted, “Farce is Iyer, don’t have point to make … he switched to Godhra,” Shri Swamy in his reply to Sridhar tweeted: “Which Godhra – that is, when 59 women and children tirth yatris were roasted alive in a train?”

Sridhar’s this tweet was about Congress MP Mani Shankar Iyer who reacted to the Supreme Court order on delay in corruption cases with Godhra while participating in a debate.
