Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will address a north Indian convention in Surat on 11th of March.
According to detail available through BJP sources, Shri Modi will address a huge convention of north Indians at Surat’s Limbayat based Nilgiri ground.
Shri Modi was invited to grace the convention, and he has accepted the invitation according to sources familiar with this development.
It should be mentioned here that the north Indians form 20% population of the city of Surat. In last civic election both BJP and Congress gave tickets to north Indians. On Navsari Lok Sabha seat, while BJP gave ticket to CR Patil, rival Congress party fielded Dhansukh Rajput, both belonging to other states.
It is interesting to note that the convention could be used to demand more tickets for north Indians in Surat belt.
