Stolen Chakreshwari idol found in Rajasthan, one held

A 1500-year old Chakreshwari mata’s murti which was stolen from north Gujarat’s Umta is recovered from Rajasthan’s Satpura.
A special investigating team of Police has picked up one Chhappansingh from Sadpura in Rajasthan.
Umta is situated at 8 km from Visnagar town in Mehsana district. In February this year, around dozen thieves barged into the mandir by breaking the gate and took away a 2.5 ft toll idol of Chakreshwari weighing 90 kg. The thieves did not take away silver crown, umbrella studded with ornaments and other precious objects.
