At least 8 persons were injured today morning in Surat, due to wall collapse during an opening function of saree showroom in Pandesara area of Surat.

Surat’s Pandesara area based Rajgharana sarees had invited famous characters Dayabhabhi, Tarak Mehta and Jethalal of popular Hindi TV serial Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah to inaugurate a new saree showroom.

By the time the actors arrived at around 9.30 am, there was an extra ordinary rush of people there, ready to do anything to have a glimpse of their favorite TV starts.

Amid the chaos, a wall next to the show room collapsed, injuring 8 persons. Four of them were taken to the hospital for treatment.

In should be noted here that in December last year when actors of same serial arrived at Bhavnagar to participate in Saibaba mandir patotsav function, local police had to use lathicharge to control the fans.

Similarly, in January this year, the team of this serial was in Kutch, where at Bhuj railway station the situation turned chaotic due to same reasons.
