Vadodara to have 5 pm – 5 am night market, first in Gujarat

Vadodara, 3 June 2012

The city of Vadodara is all set to get a 42-shop night market spread over 15851 square meter within a month or so.

This would be the first of its kind market in the state that would remain open between 5 pm to 5 am. A tender notice in this regard will be issued this week and the process of allocation of shops will be completed in this month itself according to standing committee chairman of Vadodara Municipal Corporation.

VMC will see that two brands selling the same item don’t get allocation in the night market.

International food giants McDonalds, Subway and Pizza Hut are likely to be a part of this market.

Food joints in the market will have to serve only vegetarian items.
