Union Law and Justice Minister’s controversial remark on Supreme Court’s Vacation bench(Video)

India’s Law and Justice minister Salman Khurshid today deleivered a controversial statement over the working of Supreme Court’s vacation benches. Khurshid today in a press conference in Ahmedabad said that vacation benches of Supreme Court tends to be little conservative.
Khurshid said this in reply to a question on the Supreme court decision on minority sub-quota.
Questioning the government on giving 4.5% sub-quota for minorities on the basis of religion, the Supreme Court today refused to stay the Andhra Pradesh High Court order quashing the decision.
When asked to react to this development, union Law minister gave reply that “vacation bench of Supreme Court traditionally tends to be little conservative.”
Those present in the hall couldn’t believe that union Law and Justice minister himself can pass such remark over the working of the Supreme Court bench.
