NRI Gujarati arrested in New Jersey for driving while intoxicated

On June 3, at 10:34 p.m. police responded to the area of Smith and Jefferson Roads on a report of a vehicle that struck a curb and left the scene. A 1998 Nissan van was later found in front of a home on Smith Road. The driver, Salil Patel, 45, of Parsippany, was later arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was transported to police headquarters and processed where he was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident. Patel was later released to the custody of a family member.
