IAF helicopters rescue ten persons lost in the Little Rann of Kutch

In a special operation in the middle of the little Rann of Kutch, two helicopters of Indian Air Force today rescued ten persons who were lost in the partially water logged Rann for last two days or so. Surendranagar district collector informed Deshgujarat over a phone call that all ten people had entered into the little Rann area from Kutch side. First one person had ventured into the Rann, but whe he didn’t return back, nine other persons ventured in to the Rann area to locate him, but eventually they too couldn’t return.
At around four pm today Kutch collector informed his counterpart in Surendranagar about this, after which a rescue operation was initiated from Surendranagar side. All ten were located after some efforts, but as the Rann is waterlogged, Air force’s help was sought. After some efforts the vinching operation was conducted and all ten persons were brought to the main land. According to Surendranagar collector, their health check up is over and one of the ten persons is found in need of medical treatment.
