Alternate day water supply in Rajkot city from 16 July

Rajkot, 14 July 2012

The Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) has imposed the alternate day water cut system in the city with effect from July 16.

Rajkot gets daily 9 crore liter Narmada water supply at present but with all local major reservoirs about to hit rock bottom, the cut is declared.

The cut is indefinite and will remain in effect till the reservoirs get adequate fresh inflow to maintain the daily 20 minute water supply.

The decision was taken after the city engineers made an assessment of the water requirement.

Rajkot city had lastly witnessed alternate day supply for nearly two months in year 2009.

People of Rajkot are lucky. Had it been Sheila Dikshit, they would have to suffer for 3 years. Prabably more problems to Rajkot. It is Congressi Bavalia bapa running the show now.

  2. VINOO says:

This situation is due to the fact that our ruling politicians in last 60 odd years failed to
recognise true priorities of this country.
