Bechraji, 11 September 2012
Speaking at Bechraji in north Gujarat today, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi demanded Special Investigation Team(SIT) probe under Supreme Court monitoring to probe Coal gate scam.
“When it comes to Gujarat, SITs are formed very easily, now I challenge the Prime Minister to form SIT under Suprem Court supervision on coal scam,” Modi said adding that let the PM come out clean at the end of the probe.
Shri Modi slammed Congress for attacking constitutional authorities.
“When Supreme Court verdicts are not in favor, they openly criticize the Supreme Court, when section of media exposed them, they criticized media, now when CAG has accused the centre of corruption in coal scam, they criticize CAG too. This is Indira Gandhi’s style. She was doing same during emergency,” Modi further said criticizing the centre.
“Did you ever hear Prime Minister saying that he would do this or that? If they don’t find direction, they should blindly follow the direction in which Gujarat is going ahead,” Shri Modi said.
