Online registration for Sabarmati Marathon 2013 soon

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has announced the next edition of Sabarmati marathon.
According to an announcement made today, the marathon event will be held on 6 January 2013.
Type – km – registration fees
Full marathon 42 km Rs 400
Half marathon 21 km Rs 400
Dream run 7 km Rs 100
Run for physically challenged Rs 0
Online registration for the event will start from 16th of October 2012 at www.sabarmatimarathon.net.
Full marathon: Vallabh Sadan – Juna Vadaj – Gandhi Ashram – Usmanpura underbridge – Vijay char rasta – Helmet circle – Drive in road – Thaltej- SG highway – same route return – Vallabh Sadan
Half marathon: Vallabh Sadan – Juna Vadaj – Gandhi Ashram – Usmanpura under bridge – Vijay char rasta – Helmet circle- Manavmandir – back on same route – Vallabh sadan
Dream run:Vallabh Sadan – Mithakhali under bridge – Mithakhali circle – Navrangpura – Swastik char rasta – CG road – Parimal Garden – Rasala park – Law Garden – Mayor bungalow – Mithakhali circle – Vallabh Sadan
DJ music, performance of musical parties will be organized at six places.
Apart from the online registration process, one would be able to register through the centers set up by the AMC.
The winner of full marathon in international category will win Rs six lakh while in national category the prize money will be Rs 1.25 lakh. Half marathon first prize will be Rs 61,000. Full marathon winners will get Adani and Arvind cup while Half marathon winner will get Reliance cup.
