The nation will celebrate 100 years of Gandhi’s arrival from Africa in 2015. And we in Gujarat want to mark this occasion by hosting Pravasi Bharatiya Divas function in our state. I have requested the centre to give us an opportunity to hold this event in Gujarat in 2015 because Pravasi Bharatiya Divas’s date is associated with Gandhi’s arrival in India. I welcome you all to join it, if we get centre’s nod.”
