Ahmedabad, 28 March 2013
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has announced hike in non-AC and AC Bus Rapid Transit System(BRTS) fares from 1st April 2013.

Diesel price per liter which was Rs 35.40 per liter in 2008-09, is now Rs 64.54 per liter in February 2013 which shows 82% increase. At present BRTS buses are operated through bus operators, and as per the tender condition, they have to be allowed to hike the fare whenever diesel price goes up.
