The city of Surat will get city bus service in near future. Surat Municipal Corporation(SMC)’s Tender scrutiny committee on Monday qualified tenders of two contractors in this regard and forwarded them to standing committee of SMC.

According to details of tender documents, total 125 city buses(10 regular size buses and 115 small buses) will be operated on 85 routes. regular size buses. Contractor will need to start operations in two months. AC and double decker buses will be part of fleet. SMC will earn annual royalty of around Rs 12.50 lakh.
