AMC’s new hospital in VS campus to be named after Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

A new state of the art hospital with 1450 bed planned in V.S. hospital compound by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC) will be named after Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The AMC in its Standing Committee meeting today passed a resolution to give power to Municipal Commissioner to complete formalities for naming the new multy storiesd multi specialty hospital as “Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Medical Sciences and Research”.
The proposal was moved by Councillor Shri Suresh Dhanjibhai Patel.
The new modern hospital building will have 1.20 lakh sq meter construction. It will have general, OPD, emergency, trauma, radiology, high and low diagnostic, sample collection, blood bank, 36 operation theaters, orthopedic, neurology, cardiac cathlab etc departments and facilities.
