By-polls: BJP candidates to file nomination form on 14-15th May

Gujarat BJP parliamentary board meeting was held today in Gandhinagar in presence of Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The primary motive of this meeting was to take decision on candidates of forthcoming by-polls of four assembly seats and two Lok Sabha seats.

After the meeting, Gujarat BJP leader Shri Vijaybhai Rupani told media persons that as per the tradition of party, the names of candidates for assembly and parliament elections are declared by party’s headquarters in Delhi. He said the state parliamentary board took a decision on names of candidates and forwarded them to party’s national parliamentary board in Delhi. The names will be declared by central parliamentary board from Delhi.

He added that BJP candidates will file nomination forms on 14-15th of May.

The elections for four assembly seats ( Limbdi, Jetpur, Dhoraji, Morwa Hadaf) and two Lok Sabha seats( Porbandar and Banaskantha) are scheduled to be held on 2nd June. All these seats were captured by Congress in last elections.
