Adani Port Mundra to handle a large ship carrying 14,000 containers

Adani port at Mundra is today handling one of the largest container capacity ships MSC Valeria. According to sources, none port in India has handled such a large container capacity ship so far. The ship MSC Valeria has capacity to carry 14,000 containers. Normal ships handled by Indian ports contain 8,000 to 8,500 containers. The previous record at Mundra port was about handling of a ship containing 8,300 containers.
